STARTING NEW HABITS

Yes it is me, I have had a hectic couple of weeks.

I started CBT a few weeks ago after waiting a year and my goodness what a wait. I was hoping my issues would have gone away but no, anxiety loves to linger and stop me from doing things I would love to do.

So here I am week three and we talked about good habits that I can get into.

I chose these

READING

I am not the best reader- I pick up a book read the first chapter and then that is it. So I am making this one of my habits to do at least two to three times a week to read a chapter (or more if the mood takes me). The one I’m reading now has 371 pages and I think I’m on page 36. I have a looooong way to go.

WRITING

I’ve always adored writing I just lost my mojo and got writers block for a long time and now it’s gradually coming back. Deciding that no matter if it’s with a pen or on screen via typing it’s still writing. I have so many notebooks unused so they can be filled and then for digital writing I thought that I could open a Wattpad account and start writing a book. That will be so satisfying when I’ve finished it, I have a pen name too so nobody knows who I am. Then there’s blogging, I am here writing so I’m doing well on this habit.

MEDITATION

I have time in the morning and evening to dedicate to doing some meditation. Apparently even if you can only do 3-5 minutes that’s enough to calm your mind and get positive energy and thoughts flowing. I use the insight timer app. It’s been a favourite of mine for years as it’s so versatile.

There you have it 3 habits I can focus on and include to help me on my journey.
